- SHIPOWNER
- AGENCY : The institution which represents the ship owner in any port.
- NVOCC : ‘’Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier’’
- CO-LOADER : The forwarder who transports the goods by consolidating them together
with other forwarder’s goods
- FORWARDER : The organizer company which has an active agency net for road ,air
, sea, railway transportation, deals with custom and insurance
operations.

CHARTER
TAŢIMA :
The transport by renting the whole ship or renting a part
(part cargo).

: The broker between the
ship owner and the shipper.

Loading Unloading Terms

FREE
IN (FI) : The charging expenses in the port.
•
FREE
OUT (FO):
The discharging expenses in the port.
•
LINER
IN (LI) : Charging expenses belonging to the ship owner.
•
LINER
OUT (LO):
Discharging expenses belonging to the ship owner.
•
STUFFING
: Stowing , setting the cargo to the
container.
•
UNSTUFFING
: Discharging the container.
•
STEVEDORING
:
The service of charging and discharging the ship.
Port Terms
•
STORAGE
:
The storage in the port / warehouse.
•
DEMURAGGE
:
The exceed of time given to the ship for charge and discharge
or not clearing the good waiting inside the container from
the custom in the permitted time.

FREE
TIME
: The time good can wait before demurage. Demurage will occur
over time.
•
THC
: (Terminal Handling Fee)
: The handling rate in the port.
•
TEMPORARY
ACCEPTANCE : The containers are in the status of goods dependent to the customs according
to the custom body of current law in Turkey. For this reason this is the
custom fee if a container is coming out from a custom field
or coming back to the port.
Terms Of Freight
•
CAF: (Currency Adjustment Factor)
The fluctuation addition of American Dollar to the freight.
•
BAF
: (Bunker Adjustment Factor)
The additional charge of fuel oil price fluctuations in an
obvious ratio to overseas transport.
•
PRIMAGE
:
The extra rate used to decrease the risk of the ship owner
applied on export freights generally from Turkey.
•
WAR
RISK SURCHARGE (WRS) : The additional charge to the freight of the voyages to the
ports having war risk.
•
HIGH
CUBE SURCHARGE : :The additional rate for High Cube container.
•
IMCO CHARGE : The additional rate the
ship owner demand for dangerous material’s transportation
